Michael Murphy is an experienced Biotechnology professional with extensive experience starting up and supporting manufacturing operations. Michael has managed the technical support of both upstream and downstream manufacturing and has led several Operational Excellence (OE) initiatives including reductions in manufacturing suite changeover and bioburden reduction.  In the technical support role, Michael has developed company policies on Risk Management, Technology Transfer, Statistical Process Control, and Microbial Control.

Michael has been the technical lead and has managed the start-up of four manufacturing facilities that have been approved for commercial Manufacturing. Michael’s role on these projects ranges from technical lead to overall project manager.  The projects have included the equipment procurement and start up, raw material introduction, new process implementation, process and equipment validation as well as Regulatory filing of processes and facilities.

Michael has experience as the lead the commissioning agent for new laboratory facilities, equipment start-up and trouble shooting.

Michael has over 30 years of experience in the field and has worked in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Manufacturing, Process Development, Validation, Commissioning, Process Engineering and Manufacturing Support.
