Joel Biles has 19+ years of experience in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical industry. Joel has extensive experience in manufacturing, facilities/utilities, engineering, and commissioning, qualification, and validation (CQV) activities involved with both new facility buildouts and expansions on other facilities.

Early experiences as a naval officer for 13 years put Joel in leadership roles that made him a very successful naval officer in meeting the mission of the US Navy, consistently ranked number 1 at his different commands. This same leadership was key in his transition into the biotechnology field as he held management roles through senior director in several key biotechnology facilities. His knowledge level of process equipment, utilities, cleanroom design, and quality programs is outstanding.  Detail-oriented and quality-driven, Joel has had the opportunity to share his skills in multiple CQV projects ranging from HVAC, clean utilities (medical grade gasses, WFI, RODI, plant, and clean steam), cleaning and sterilization processes, and process equipment qualification.

Through his career, Joel has focused on relationship building and mentorship, with the understanding for the need to build and facilitate strong support system networks between individuals.  Many of the personnel Joel has mentored in the past are now in positions of senior manager to director level positions in the biotechnology field.

Joel takes pride in providing a quality-first mindset while always maintaining a consistently high level of commitment and dedication to the client that is expected of ICQ employees.  Compliance to the regulations is always top priority.
