Cassie Pritchard joined ICQ as a consultant in June 2012. After a few years, she shifted to recruiting full-time and, within a year, was promoted to ICQ’s recruiting manager.

Cassie’s Journey to ICQ

While Cassie now works in the commissioning, qualification, and validation industry, her background is in forensic science and early education.

She had a hard time deciding between the two fields, so when she moved halfway through her forensic science degree and her new school didn’t offer the program, she decided to pursue a general education degree. Cassie taught for six years before she came to ICQ!

When asked what drew her to ICQ, Cassie said, “I heard about the impact ICQ was making for those needing orphan drugs. Once I learned a little bit about what they were doing, I was interested, especially since I was a huge science lover.”

She added, “ICQ was taking off, and I wanted to join in and make a difference.”

“I love working at ICQ because of the camaraderie. It keeps the day fun and interesting, yet busy. I enjoy talking to new people and getting an idea of what they are like, and what their goals are as well. I love sharing what kind of company we are as a family and as a business.” – Cassie Pritchard

A Typical Day in Cassie’s ICQ Life

Cassie’s day-to-day responsibilities include managing ICQ’s applicant tracking system (ATS), running recruiting meetings, speaking to candidates, posting jobs, conducting screenings, managing customer-to-customer (C2C) companies, and extending offers and negotiations.

She also strives for excellent communication, builds strong relationships with candidates and colleagues, and manages the entire recruiting life cycle.

Why Cassie Loves ICQ

Cassie says it’s genuinely great to work for and alongside ICQ’s leadership team because they look after their employees like family. She added, “They, too, were consultants at one point and wanted the best for their work family. They found me an entry-level spot, and I worked my way up.”

When asked what keeps her motivated and wanting to stay at ICQ, she listed three reasons:

  1. Her position: “Being the recruiting manager also allows me to work remotely. I find that I work even harder to prove I can stay remote, which helps my family and me as I have a little one to put on the school bus every morning!”
  2. Her coworkers: “My back-office team, whom I work with daily, is full of humor and keeps me loving my job.”
  3. The benefits: “ICQ’s generosity and sincere kindness when someone has a family issue are unbeatable—we take care of each other. The salary is great, and with our amazing benefits and flexible work-life balance, I can see myself staying here for many more years.”
